Privacy Policy

Who is responsible

Kippis Studios Inc. is the controller of personal information processed through Tuneoke. For privacy questions or requests, email tuneoke@kippisstudios.com.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account. When you sign in with email or Google through our authentication provider (Clerk), we receive an account identifier and, when available, your email address.
• Content you provide. Madlib answers, custom song descriptions, style prompts, and similar inputs you submit to generate a song.
• Generated songs. Titles, lyrics, audio, cover art, karaoke timing data, and related metadata for songs created in your account.
• Payments. If you buy a credit pack, Stripe processes your payment. We receive confirmation of the purchase, pack type, and a Stripe session identifier. We do not store full card numbers.
• Referrals. If you visit from a share or referral link, we may store a referral code in a cookie so we can grant a credit to the referrer if you later create an account.
• Usage. Product events such as page views and funnel actions (for example, starting a generation or opening My Songs). When you are signed in, we associate those events with your Clerk user id. We do not send your email or name to our analytics provider.

How we use information

We use this information to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Generate songs and karaoke playback from your inputs
• Keep your song list (My Songs) and unlisted listen links
• Track and fulfill Tuneoke credits, including free signup and referral grants
• Process pack purchases and prevent double-crediting
• Understand how the product is used and improve it
• Prevent abuse, debug issues, and keep the service secure
• Respond to support and privacy requests

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who help us operate Tuneoke, including:

• Clerk, for authentication
• Stripe, for checkout and payment processing
• Our database and hosting providers, to store and serve the app
• Suno, to generate music from your prompts
• Anthropic, to help suggest styles and surprise-song ideas
• Speech-to-text providers (such as Groq or OpenAI) when we need timed lyrics for karaoke
• Google Analytics, for product analytics

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Completed listen links are unlisted. Anyone with the link can play or download that song. Do not share a link you want to keep private.

Cookies and similar technology

We use cookies and similar storage that are needed to run the service, including Clerk session cookies, a short-lived referral cookie (tuneoke_ref), and local storage for things like your cached credit balance. If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may also set cookies. We do not use these tools to run third-party advertising networks.

Retention

We keep account, credit, and song records for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. If you delete a song in My Songs, we hide it from the app (including listen and download links). Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited time.

Your choices and rights

You can access My Songs, delete individual songs, and manage or close your account through Clerk's account menu. To request a copy of your information, correction, or deletion of your account, email tuneoke@kippisstudios.com.

Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain processing, and to appeal a denial. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

Tuneoke is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those places may have different data protection laws than where you live.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Tuneoke after an update means you accept the revised policy.
